Certifications and standards systems
Good On You recognises many certifications, accreditations, voluntary standards, and model codes of conduct (“standards systems”) that seek to address some of the sustainability issues relevant to the industries assessed.
Consideration of set targets, performance against targets, and other planned improvements
Setting targets and disclosing progress towards meeting them demonstrates a brand’s commitment to managing impacts. However, your Good On You rating is primarily based on your current sustainability performance.
Primary, second, and final production stages
Methodologies reference three production stages based on these industry-standard definitions.
Country risk classifications
Good On You reviews the work of a wide range of experts and organisations to determine what level of risk applies to a country in assessed supply chains.
Values and Certifications
Ratings that are 3/5 or higher are published with some select badges for particular values that represent the brand's sustainability priorities and certifications that the brand prioritises.
