At the top of the page, you’ll have the link to access the Journal, and the menu, where you’ll be able to select which types of brands you want (womenswear, menswear, or kids) as well as the different categories.
On the home page, you’ll also find our trusty search bar, a selection of staff-picked brands, and again the different categories.
Find out the sustainability rating of a brand
It’s very easy to search for brands within the Good On You Directory: simply type the name of the brand you’re looking for in the search bar on the home page, and the algorithm will find it for you.
Hot tip #1: the search bar will always be at the top of the page, so you don’t have to go back to the home page to search for your next brand!
Once you’ve found the brand of your dreams, simply click on it and you’ll be redirected to its page.
Hot tip #2: in the Journal, click on “See the rating” under a brand’s name to be redirected to its page in the Directory – so easy!
On the brand page, you’ll be able to find out more about the brand’s rating and how it impacts on people, the planet, and animals, as well as where it ships to and where to buy the brand.

At the bottom of the brand page, you’ll find a selection of similar brands or ethical alternatives if the brand is rated “It’s A Start”, “Not Good Enough”, or “We Avoid”.
Discover sustainable brands that offer product categories you're interested in
From the home page or the menu navigation, click on the category you’re interested in and you’ll find a list of all the brands offering this category, from best to worst. From there you can narrow down your search using the filters.
Via the search bar, you can also search for brands that match other parameters you're interested in such as brand location or range. Looking for "French womenswear", "mens t-shirts" or "Canadian plus-size"? Try the search bar.
Once again, click on the brand you’re interested in to find out more about it.

Just want to browse the Directory and see what’s up?
Simply head to the homepage to browse all our categories or click on the menu on the top right of your screen to access the categories from any page on the Directory. You can also select "See all fashion" or "See all beauty" from the "Brand Ratings" menu.
On the category page, you can use the filters to refine the brands shown by product type, range, rating, location, shipping, price level, and sustainability values.
